Happy Chinese New Year- Paper Shadow

The dragon year is finally here. Papa Bear and Mama Bear, Sister Bear worked so hard to make this Paper Shadow Puppet Show a big hit. Kids loved it. After knowing the historical background about Shadow Puppet, they cut it and colored it with their favorite colors. At last, "Norah's Ark" with the familiar song, kids played with the master pieces of their paper shadow Puppets. It was fun.


In the "tug of war", Little Bear used all her strength to pull the rope. She was strong.

First ski trip in Mt.Hood Meadow 2011

Little Bear's first ski trip. The ski coach kept reminding them to form a pizza shape before they wanted to stop. At the beginning, she had a hard time to control. After many times of falls, she finally got it. Look at her!

1st piano recital

Finally, the first piano recital! Little Bear worked so hard on practicing the pieces. She surely enjoyed music!

神經質的媽媽

如果有人說世界上最神經質的角色為何， 媽媽熊一定要說：媽媽. 話說今天早上送小熊和 弟弟出門非常緊張。 因為原本出門時間就是挺趕的， 加上小熊今天有小考生字， 昨晚數學功課沒做完，一吃完飯就拉著小熊趕快做. 眼看校車快來了， 小熊套上白運動鞋卻鞋帶打結，塞不進去。 媽媽熊問小熊要不要換一雙， 她說不要, 因為..... 後面聽不清楚, 車子來了， 她又不想換， 媽媽熊就說, 算了！穿著吧！ 想像一下， 腳沒塞進鞋子， 一隻鞋帶又打結， 另一隻又鞋帶拖在地上，小熊拖著鞋子趕校車的模樣。校車一走， 媽媽熊愈想愈不對。怎麼鞋沒穿好就讓她走了呢？等一下跌倒怎麼辦， 如果大家都下車, 她還在搞她的鞋子， 穿不下去，怎麼辦? 心裡放心不下， 最後決定乾脆拿另一雙給她換。於是抓起鞋子就去學校等她的校車. 沒想到， 車子一到， 看到小熊鞋子穿得好好的下走來. 媽媽熊趕緊問， 誰幫妳穿上的？ 小熊說是她自己. 她有足夠的時間解開鞋帶, 套好,綁好鞋帶。 這下媽媽熊總可以安心了吧？ 沒！ 想想還是給她換另一雙吧！她說： may be. 既然如此, 就換上另一雙. 換好鞋, 看她走路才發現，那雙鞋的魔鬼膠鬆了， 沒走幾步路， 小熊就停下來把它貼好. 媽媽熊 心裡還是不放心， 最後決定拿原來的鞋去教室給她， 如果實在不方便就換回來。 小熊看見媽媽熊提著鞋子去教室有些不解的表情， 但還是給媽媽熊一個大大地擁抱。至此, "鞋子事件"告一段落.
媽媽熊應該相信小熊的，小熊不選那雙有魔鬼膠的鞋子是因為它鬆了，相信她可以有能力來解決問題 當媽媽的總認為自己想的週到，平白死了一堆細胞。 也許有人要問：這神經直的症狀得以改善嗎？ 媽媽熊想, 這是沒得醫的， 也永遠好不了， 因為孩子是 父母ㄧ生甜蜜的牽掛。

Preparation for the first recital

Little Bear's first recital is around the corner. She is going to play 3 pieces. One of them is the solo piece, "Silent night." There is still room to improve; Little Bear really enjoys playing the piece. She even went to check the Bible regarding Jesus' born. May God give her wisdom to play the piece nicely.
小熊的鋼琴演奏處女秀即將在下個月舉行, 她和弟弟熊四手聯彈兩首, 自己獨奏一首"平安夜" 小熊 練得可真來勁兒,雖然還有進步的空間, 已經挺不錯了!她還跑去翻聖經找耶穌降生的事, 希望神給智慧, 讓小熊彈得好.

Little Bear's comment about Santa Claus

On the way to the piano lesson, Little Bear said: I don't want Santa Claus comes to my house. I don't want to, but I want presents.

Special Olympic 2011 in NIKE

The Bear family attended the annual "Buddy Walk" in Rose quarter. Everyone was so excited to enjoy playing hula hoops and fun games, and tasting the yummy cotton candies, and the ice bowls. Seeing so many supporters gathering together, it was a great feeling. We would come back next year.
